Visits to Nigerian Law Firms in Lagos, 17 May 2017

On 17 May 2017, the CRCICA’s Director visited prominent Nigerian law firms, namely, Aluko & Oyebode and Banwo & Ighodalo. Dr. Selim delivered to the partners and a large number of associates at both firms a power-point presentation on CRCICA’s activities and role in promoting arbitration in the region and in Africa.

The power-point presentation included a brief on the CRCICA’s history, Board of trustees and Advisory committee. It has also dealt with CRCICA’s caseload, recent international recognitions and activities including conferences and publications. The presentation was followed by questions and answers.

The presentations proved to be informative, as law firms are consulted as to the choice of arbitration under the CRCICA rules.”
